NDC launches manifesto today

Sep 07, 2020

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced today September 7, 2020 as the day for the official launch of the much anticipated manifesto for this year's general elections.

The event which is expected to be held at the University of Professional Studies,Accra would be streamed virtually in accordance with the COVID-19 regulations and broadcasted on radio and television.

The party had earlier set August 30 as the day for the launch but it was postponed. This was made public by Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, the General Secretary of the NDC.

Some policies believed to be in the 2020 document have already found their way online, including pledges by the party to employ all national service personnel who wish to be employed permanently after service.

The NDC also promise to make Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) free,a policy which the NPP says it has already initiated as free.

Former President John Dramani Mahama has already promised to legalize and regulate “Okada” when elected the next President of Ghana.

He indicates that he will not just ensure safety and standards, but it will guarantee decent, sustainable and regular income for many young people and their families.
