The Electoral Commission of Ghana has responded to delays in receiving voter details through SMS Platform.
Numerous complaints have been received from the public when checking details of their Voters' Identification via SMS.
The EC introduced a mobile service through which registered voters can equally check and confirm their registration aside visiting a polling station.
Voters using this service are to send their voter ID Numbers to the shortcode 1422 for their details, but can only effect corrections where necessary at the EC’s respective district offices.
However, there has been some technical hitches experienced by many and the EC says they are working around the clock to resolve the issue.
The EC on Friday September 18 2020, released a statement acknowledging the challenges being faced by a section of Ghanaians in accessing the service while advising voters to exercise restraint;
